Norah turned 4 last weekend. She had her first birthday party! As I planned the big event, I feared disaster, and fretted over attendance, but in the end there were
14 little kids there to celebrate 
with her.She had a princess bounce house, her very own gigantic birthday cupcake, and plenty of friends and family to share her special day with. As Lucas tucked her in that night, he asked her what her favorite part of the day was. She replied with wide eyes and wide hand gestures, "my whole party. My WHOOOLE party."
In the week since, she has magically seemed older. She tackles her scooter with reckless abandon, dives under water in the pool, reasons remarkably well. Still, she climbs into our bed in the middle of the night. But, now, she knocks before entering.
