I feel hiccups in my pelvis. I feel love. I feel a tiny body climb herself into a wedge between her Daddy and me in the bed. I feel love. I feel a little head peaking through the space between my knees. Hands held tightly at each thigh. I feel love. I feel big, cold feet tucked under my calves as we sit nuzzled next to each other on the couch (girls finally fast asleep.) I feel love.
These are the moments I feel most in love with my family, with my husband, with my life.
But, today we will eat candy and chocolate cake. We will write loving things to one another - and hold one another a little bit closer. We'll watch a sappy movie, whisper sweet nothings, and embrace. And, that feels good, too.
