Isn't she so sweet? Poor girl. |
They had to hold her down to put the glue and bandages on her wounds (Avery is quite the fighter), but she left pretty happy. After all, she had a huge war wound to show off, a cool bracelet to wear with her name and patient information to wear as her badge of honor, a Beanie baby bear they gave her, and she even got a late night popsicle in the urgent care waiting room!
The next day, when Norah (who had been worried about her sister the night before) learned about all the "fun" that Avery had at urgent care, she exclaimed, "no fair, why didn't I get to go!"
Ah, to see the world through the eyes of a child. If only a beanie baby and a popsicle were all it would take to make me feel better after giving birth to our little dude in a few months!
Aunt Glennis says in the photo she looks like Erin. Hope Avery is feeling better!
ReplyDeleteLove,
Jonell
I do think they look alike sometimes, Jonell. I also see Angie in her.
DeleteAwww poor little Ave!!! I remember getting stitches on my face and having to have a whole bunch of nurses hold me down too. I think I was 6 or 7 though, haha!
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear about sweet Avery! Yaouch!
ReplyDeleteAs for the popsicle and the beanie baby..hopefully little dude himself will suffice as a reward! ;-)
Of course, of course ;) It's just funny to see how quickly little ones turn a difficult experience into an adventure full of fun. The other fun thing about kids is that their little bodies heal quite quickly. You can barely tell Avery was hurt now.
DeleteThat's SO funny!
